Ads Optimization

AI Tool for Paid Advertisement (2023)

Services Provided

Product Design, UX/UI Design, User Testing, User Research, Wireframing, Prototyping

Overview

Ads Optimization is a new feature created by Sotrender's R&D team. The AI-based technology helps to optimize paid social media ad campaigns to generate the best possible results.

In order to bring it to life there was a need to create a completely new separate user flow with its own UX and UI. Being the only designer involved in this project I was in charge of the entire process and project's scope. From creating initial wireframes based on breadboard provided by the Product Manager. All the way to the final UI and creating a clickable prototype that was tested on real users.

Product Design

The process of creating final product design consisted of creating:

  • High fidelity wireframes,

  • Style guide

  • Color pallete and typography

  • Illustration library

  • 3 iteration rounds of final UII designs

  • Filters and error screens

  • Clickable prototype

  • User testing

  • Post-test changes

  • Onboarding materials for the new users

In order to make this happen it was necessary to cooperate with variety of stakeholders. Apart from developers and product manager I had to be in touch with the R&D team responsible for the AI model to be sure that understanding the idea behind it, the design and user flow are aligned with what the product is about.

The goal for the UX was to make platform as simple as possible while giving the user all the necessary options. For example, we had to allow the end user to decide what exact parameters they will be able to include in the configuration. This created a completely new user story that we had to serve.

User Testing

When the first iteration of final UI design was finished we conducted user testing with existing clientbase of Sotrender who were our potential target users. I crafted a clickable prototype that the users were using during the series of online interviews. In total we conducted 7 interviews and the results were used to apply some final changes that helped us elimiate some UX confusions and deadclick areas.
